Mastery of Craft

I recently went for a bike fitting at Wolfi's Performance Centre in Abu Dhabi. A group of us were due for some updates, so we thought it might be a fun trip during the Eid break.Â
It’s been quite a while since I was fitted or even had the bike checked, but one thing that stood out from the off was our bike fitting Specialist Viktor Sitalo, whom I had heard a lot about. His depth of knowledge was clear, but what struck me most was how much he genuinely enjoyed what he does. There was a real sense of care in how he approached each fit—curious, precise, and focused on helping us find that sweet spot on the bike.

He helped us understand how small changes can unlock real performance and was sometimes more than willing to overhaul even some things that he thought might work well but really didn’t fit. It was almost like moving the puzzle pieces around to find one that fits just right.Â
It reminded me of how deeply satisfying it is to pursue mastery—not just in sport, but in anything you care about. Whether it’s cycling, golf, running, or even your career, there’s something powerful in returning to the basics, seeking out experts, and constantly refining.

There’s no endpoint—just curiosity, small adjustments, and the satisfaction of knowing you’re getting better.
Big thanks to Viktor and the team at Wolfi’s Abu Dhabi—highly recommend for anyone who wants to get more out of their ride.
